The 31st edition of the International Book Fair and Literary Festival Book World Prague 2026 will once again take place in the newly renovated Křižík Pavilions and the exhibition hall on Bruselská cesta. The festival program will unfold across the Prague Exhibition Grounds, including outdoor halls named after classic Czech authors.
The 2026 festival dramaturgy will center on two key themes: Europe and History. The focus on Europe aims to highlight not only canonical works and renowned writers, but also emerging voices connected to the European continent. The theme of History draws inspiration from Milan Kundera’s words: “The struggle of man against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting.” It will explore how literature reflects, interprets, and preserves historical experience while shaping collective memory.
We look forward to welcoming you from May 14 to 17, 2026.
