Professor Mark Galeotti is an expert on Russian security issues, a successful author and frequent media commentator. He runs the consultancy Mayak Intelligence, is an Honorary Professor at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies at the prestigious University College London, and works with a number of think tanks and academic institutions including the Institute of International Relations in Prague. He has been Head of the Department of History at Keele University, Professor of Global Affairs at New York University, Senior Research Fellow at the British Foreign Office and Visiting Professor at Rutgers University, Charles University and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He is the author of more than 25 books, including Putins Wars and Forged in War, both translated into Czech.
