Jonas Lüscher

SWITZERLAND  *1976
The Swiss author of prose and essays Jonas Lüscher, originally from Zurich, lives in Munich – where he studied philosophy – since 2001. He worked for some time at California’s Stanford University, which partly serves as a backdrop to his successful novel Kraft (Strength), awarded with the Swiss Book Prize. Both readers and critics welcomed his very first novel, the bitingly ironic Frühling der Barbaren (The Spring of the Barbarians), 2013). At Book World Jonas Lüscher will be introducing his novel Kraft, a satire on the academic environment, providing an accurate and uncompromising look at contemporary society, whose power-wielding elites break all the taboos that get in their way.
