An award-winning Swedish graphic novelist, writer and illustrator. Her debut graphic novel Miss Remarkable & Her Career was published to great acclaim in 1999 and was translated to 7 languages, including English. Remember Us To Life, her documentary graphic novel about her family and Jewish heritage, came out in 2022 and was awarded the prestigious Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2023. She was the first female professor of illustration at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in 2007–2017. Her accolades include the Nordic Council Literature Prize, Stora Svenska Illustrator Prize, PRISA!, the FIPRESCI Prize – the International Film Critics Awards, and the Swedish Academy of Comic Art’s Adamson statuette. She will present her book Jewish Heroines published originally in Sweden in 2024.
