                            Zuzana Čaputová is a Slovak lawyer, environmental activist, and politician who became the first female President of Slovakia in 2019. Born in 1973 in Bratislava, she gained prominence for her fight against an illegal landfill in Pezinok, which earned her the prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize in 2016. She is founding member of the party Progressive Slovakia. In her election campaign for the Slovak presidency, she emphasized transparency, environmental protection, and justice. During her mandate (2019–2024), Čaputová advocated for the principles of the rule of law, respect for human rights, and European cooperation.
