Maxim Osipov is a Russian author living in exile. He is introducing his collection Rock, Paper, Scissors: And Other Stories to the Czech audience for the first time. In this book, he masterfully depicts the atmosphere of a Russian province of the last few decades. His stories reflect the melancholy of a Russian soul, love for theatre and literature, human solidarity as well as ruthlessness, injustice, the omnipresent corruption and resignation to any forms of resistance.
