Caroline De Mulder (*1976) is a Belgian writer and university professor. Her native language is Dutch, but she was educated in both Dutch and French. She is the author of six novels, a finalist for several literary prizes and winner of the prestigious Belgian Victor-Rossel Prize (for her first novel Ego Tango), as well as the Auguste-Michot Prize, awarded to Belgian authors writing in French for works on Flanders (Calcaire), the Transfuge Prize awarded in the crime genre and the Sade Prize in the erotic genre (Manger Bambi). She also writes essays, works in academia on comparative literature and teaches courses at the University of Namur. Her latest book, La pouponnière d‘Himmler (Argo, 2025), is a compelling novel about life in an institution of the Lebensborn program at the end of WW2.
